Inhale : teknik menarik napas dari luar kedalam biasanya distorsi yang didapat lebih banyak daripada Exhale,Tapi lebih nyerap banyak stamina kalau digunakan,saya gak bisa memberi contoh Band apa yang ngegunain teknik ini,karena banyak juga band yang seperti inhale tapi ternyata exhale yaitu randy blyte dari lamb of god.
Exhale: menghembuskan napas dari dalam tubuh keluar,Ini lebih aman dari inhale karena tidak menarik udara dari luar seperti inhale...jadi bisa meminimalisir debu yang masuk kedalam tubuh,Suara yang didapat juga bisa lebih bervariasi dari inhale, Band yang gegunain teknik ini seperti Arch Enemy,I Killed The Prom Queen,Slipknot,Devildriver

Growl : Jenis suara ini biasanya lebih berat dari scream makin dalam pengeluaranya makin serem sampai ada istilah yang disebut Deep Growl,dan jenis suara ini juga bisa didapat dengan teknik inhale maupun exhale.
Pig squeal : Suara yang biasanya disini disebut suara babi,teknik ini biasanya menggunakan inhale tapi tidak ada ketentuan yang pasti...ada juga orang yang mengeluarkan Pig Squeal dengan exhale,Contoh band nya : waking the cadaver,Condemned,Disgorge.

Trik mudah untuk belajar scream

sebelum ke materi sebelumnya gue mau cerita pengalaman gue tentang scream. :)
dulu waktu gue masih kelas IX smp gue ada acara renang bareng anak² sekelas, en pas gue nyebur ke kolam en di jailin temen gue, gue teriak dalem air sampe suara gue serak. nah disitu gue mikir MUNGKIN ini cara buat gue bisa SCREAM. pas gue udah nyampe rumah gue nyoba teriak (sekenceng kencengnya) lagi dalem air (airnya di dalem baskom) hehehe. gue ngelakuinya 3x berturut turut, pas yg ke 3xnya gue muntah darah dikit si, en tenggorokan gue sakit banget waktu itu. 2 hari berselang setelah tenggorokan gue udah normal, gue balik nyoba teriak dalem air lagi 1x. trus gue nyoba nyanyiin langunya Burgerkill - shadow of sorrow tentunya pake scream yg sebisa gue. haha. en hasilnya g begitu buruk, gue bisa scream walaupun yaa masih tahap penyempurnaan lah.
en dari cerita gue tadi, gue dapet trik buat orang yg pengen belajar scream.

1. sebelom latihan, sebaiknya lu minum dulu buat meminimalisir kecelakaan
2. lu teriak sekenceng lu bisa sampe tenggorokan lu sakit yg tentunya di dalem air. :D
3. kalo udah selesai lu minum lagi biar tenggorokan lu ga tegang/sakit. 
4. lakuin 1x sehari.
5. kalo lu rasa lu udah bisa scream dikit, coba lu scream sambil ngikutin lagu.
6. kalo lu rasa scream lu udah lumayan, coba lu scream pake Microphone biar suara yg keluar aga bagusan dikit tapi kalo engga juga si gapapa gabakal ngaruh ko. :)
7. kurangin makan makanan berminyak
